Welcome to the Film Directing Tips Blog – July 6, 2007 (Day One!)
The primary purpose of this blog is to share film directing tips and film making resources. So if you have any short filmmaking or film or television directing tips or tricks to share, please post them on this blog. And don’t forget to include your email address so other filmmakers can contact you if they want.
I have several other filmmaking resource websites you can check out as well.
1) ActionCutPrint.com – this is my main website that I have had since 2000 and it is where you can find over 1500 online film resources, filmmaking workshops and film directing audio seminars.
2) The Art and Craft of the Film and Television Director is my Squidoo website where you will discover film directing articles, behind-the-scenes videos, film surveys, movie mistakes and film and television bookstores.
3) The Director’s Chair is my free monthly film making ezine which is read by over 3000 filmmakers in 100 countries around the world. Check out the back issues and then sign up for your own free monthly subscription.

Hello Peter -I have been reading your blog for a while now and I really respect your insight. My name is Jeremy Parker and I have been building http://www.joinmycrew.com since I graduated from Boston University film school last year.
JoinMyCrew is a place to find the cast and crew for your next production
> Highly searchable multimedia profile
> Easily manage job postings (casting calls) and respondents
(actors, cinematographers…)
We started our Beta launch last week and I would be grateful if you
could check out the site and tell me what you think.
The website is completely free, its sole purpose is to help filmmakers
find the right people to cast for their next productions. It is not a
networking site, it s a job finding/ hiring site for people in the
film and graphic arts industry.
Thanks, I really look forward to hearing from you.
Best Wishes,
Jeremy
