15 years of celebrating women’s filmmaking

The Through Women’s Eyes Film Festival will celebrate its 15th year of promoting international women filmmakers in Sarasota this year.

The festival, which began with two films, has expanded to showcase 23 films over two days, which represent issues and women in 27 countries, during the length of the Sarasota Film Festival. The volunteer effort of the local Gulf Coast chapter of the U.S. National Committee, use the film festival as a way to fundraise for the UN Women, a global organization that advocates for gender equality.
