I have seen that film too, and I really liked it. everything was perfect, the screen play, mis en scenes( what is it called in English?!) , photography and the acting (both Sidney Poitier and Rod Steiger).
Even though the film has a “Happy Ending” but it leaves pain and I think this is Sidney Poitier’s acting that makes such a feeling.
