A film contest has been opened by Diageo, maker of premium alcoholic beverage and parent company of Guinness Nigeria plc, for filmmakers in Africa. Tagged Guinness Africa Made of More Programme, the contest is a pan-African search for the most talented African filmmaker for the production of a global TV commercial for brand Guinness. The competition is open to anyone who is passionate about film making. It underscores Diageo’s pioneering approach to marketing and its belief that some of the richest and untapped creative talent resides in Africa and that talent should be celebrated the world over.
Commenting on the programme, Seni Adetu, managing director, Guinness Nigeria plc, said:
“We are proud to be a part of this landmark project and wish all the contenders the very best as they showcase the rich and unique creativity of the African continent and make us all proud.”
